Did you know Green Tea is good for gut health, too? This recipe uses many prebiotic foods for ingredients!
Ingredients
- ½ c Olive Oil
- ½ c Sourdough starter
- ½ c Milk
- 3 Tbsp. Honey
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp. Grated lemon rind
- ¼ c Apple sauce
- ¼ to ½ c Brown sugar (optional)
- 2c Old fashioned oats
- ½ c Flaxseed meal
- ½ c Whole wheat
- ¾ c Dried cranberries
- ½ c Chopped dates
- ¼ c Chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. Pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp. Baking powder
- ¼ tsp. Baking soda
- ¼ tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Quality organic green tea leaf (We used Fukamushi Sencha.) Or, 1 tsp. Organic Matcha.
Directions
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
- Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Pour into a 13-by-9-inch pan lightly coated with cooking spray.
- Bake at 375º F for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Oatmeal Green Tea Breakfast Bar
A breakfast bar filled with prebiotic ingredients that is good for gut health!
