This naturally supplemented matcha brings out the best of matcha’s ability to provide a source of clean, focused energy. It’s a great choice for tea lovers who want the unique flavors of a quality matcha, plus a little something extra to help navigate their day.
It has a mild flavor of lemon, a sweet earthiness, and then subtle grassy notes, and a very tiny cayenne tingle at the tip of the tongue. Prepared as a hot matcha beverage it’s lemon forward with a lightly sweet earthiness – like melon rind – and a pleasant, lingering, grassy finish.
The aroma out of the pouch is light, sweet, and grassy; with a hint of citrus and salty sea air. Once brewed, the aroma is fresh and dewy, like sitting on a hot rock bed at the rivers edge with the sun shining down; the river lightly spraying you with its cool water as it passes.
The matcha powder is a medium shade of bright green, and has a silky look and feel.
This matcha is enhanced with natural, organic herbs that are also known to help provide one with energy and endurance, without the jitters associated with coffee or typical energy drinks; and it does just that. Much like a couple of cups of coffee, you can feel the shift as your body and mind awaken. It’s subtle, but steady. You can detect it in your brain processes as well, by feeling more alert, being able to focus on the task at hand, enhanced cognitive reasoning, and problem solving; while the guarana and ginseng provides the endurance to carry your projects through to completion.
This matcha is lovely prepared as an iced beverage, prepared by making a hot matcha shot and then adding it to a glass full of ice, then finishing it off with cold water or your milk of choice. Almond is a great choice for this energy blend. It’s already lightly sweet, but if you wanted it to be a bit sweeter, honey makes for a delicious pairing with the guarana and ginseng in this matcha blend.
