Dates are high in fiber and polyphenols. As it offers such a satisfactory sweet taste, it works great as a natural ‘substitute’ for highly processed sugar.
Put dates loosely in a clean 1 quart (32 oz) size mason jar. Fill the jar with pure water. Keep the jar in the fridge for 3-4 days until the dates become soft.
Pour the content of the jar into food processor. Process it until it becomes a smooth paste.
Store the paste in a clean mason jar. We usually divide it into two pint mason jars. Keep the paste in the fridge, and use the paste as you need it.
